Medical Practitioner (GP)
We are looking for Medical Practitioners to join the Lift team! Sessional work; salaried part-time and salaried full-time opportunities available.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Lift Cancer Care Service, an innovative day hospital providing exercise medicine as an anti-cancer treatment. We are looking for someone passionate about this growing area of medicine to join team of Medical Practitioners at Lift.
This role is perfectly suited to GPs with a passion for Lifestyle Medicine and/or Oncology.
Detailed oncology or exercise knowledge not required. Full training and support provided.
ABOUT LIFT CANCER CARE
Lift Cancer Care Services is a multi-disciplinary service for people living with cancer located in Adelaide, 10 minutes from the city at the Tennyson Centre, Kurralta Park. We are looking for FRACGP/FACRRM GPs to join our growing team as we set a higher standard in cancer care.

*You will have an interest in Oncology and Lifestyle Medicine and enjoy developing skills in Supportive Oncology Care with peer mentorship.
*No previous experience in oncology exercise required.
*Out of hours work such as chasing results is not required, so if you like certainty around your work hours, this role may be perfect for you!
WHAT DOES THE ROLE LOOK LIKE?
*The Medical Practitioners at Lift facilitate the safe and appropriate access to evidence-based Exercise Medicine Treatment for people with cancer.
*You will provide pre-exercise medical assessments for oncology patients presenting for Exercise Medicine Treatment at Lift, as well as identifying other supportive care needs of patients as they arise.
*You will work closely with the team of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists as they deliver the exercise treatment and provide support to them in managing any clinical issues as they arise during the exercise treatment.
